Q. What is PPE?

PPE stands for ‘Personal Protective Equipment’. PPE is designed to minimise the risk of injury through a wide variety of products, such as safety boots, hard hats, safety gloves, high visibility clothing, face masks, ear plugs and much more.

 

Q. Why do you need PPE?

Ensuring that the workplace is safe not only protects employees from harm, it also protects the employers from possible fines and further legal action. PPE is all part of encouraging people to work safely and responsibly.

 

Q. What is your minimum order value?

We have no minimum order value but a delivery charge of £7.50 (exc. VAT) is paid on all orders under £50 (£20 delivery charge for offshore customers).

 

Q. My goods are damaged, faulty or incorrect, what should I do?

In the unlikely event of receiving a faulty, damaged or incorrect item, you must advise us within seven days of receipt and we will immediately issue a credit, or a replacement at our discretion. If this scenario has occurred please accept our sincere apologies.

 

Q. What are your opening times?

Our business hours are 7am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.

 

Q. Do you provide samples?

We are able to provide samples for most of our products. Due to the high cost of administration, samples are charged in full but can either be used in a future order or be returned without a restock charge.

 

Q. I can’t find what I’m looking for on your website, do you supply it?

Probably! If it’s PPE, workwear, janitorial or anything similar, we can usually supply it. Please contact us with your requirements.

 

Q. I’m not sure what I need, can you help?

Of course, we can! Please call us anytime from 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday. Alternatively, please send us an email and we will respond in 24 hours.

 

Q. What formats do you accept for artwork?

We can accept most high-quality formats, however to avoid additional artwork charges an .eps, .ai or pdf format is best for embroidery and heat-seal.

 

Q. Where do I find size guides?

Due to the fact we stock items from a wide range of suppliers we don't have one generic size guide on our site, we generally provide a size guide per brand (these are given to us direct from the suppliers and we aim to update these as regularly as possible to ensure we are passing on the most relevant and up to date information on sizing). To find more accurate sizing on a specific product please send us an email.

 

Q. What mask protection do I need when working with asbestos?

The minimum protection you would need is P3, you can use either a disposable mask or a reusable option dependent on your risk assessment.

 

Q. What safety rating to I need to specify to get a safety boot with toe cap and midsole protection?

You will need a safety footwear with a P rating for instance S1P or a S3 rating has a toe cap, midsole and water repellent leather outer.

 

Q. What is powered air?

Powered Air is a power supplied face mask for use with either particulate or gas airborne subsidence’s.

 

Q. What is EN388?

EN388 is the European Norm standard for mechanical protection on safety gloves.
