Our quick guide to removing stains

It’s really important for building managers of schools, leisure centres, public washrooms and shared offices that have communal canteens and washrooms are as hygienic and appealing as possible. 

This is of particular relevance as lockdown eases and businesses are moving back from work-from-home to encouraging and supporting working from offices. 

One factor that can really impact people’s perceptions of a public area is staining. 

Stains are unattractive and more importantly unhygienic.

One of the biggest problems in tackling stains lies in which chemicals are used to clean the area. 

All too often we talk to contractors and companies that are giving their cleaners bleach solutions to clean the washrooms and public spaces. 

The simplest way of describing what bleach does when applied is to say that it “covers up” any dirt present.  It doesn’t aggressively remove the root cause of the problem; allowing more contaminant to build up and create more unattractive stains. 

For washrooms we recommend the use of the Apeal Daily Washroom Cleaner from Clover Christeyns. 

Apeal will descale, clean, deodorise and disinfect the surface to which it is applied.  Completing these actions will ensure that no contaminant can build up on the surfaces and, if it used regularly and correctly, no stains should appear at all. 

We recommend you apply the chemical undiluted and then agitate and rinse away from the surface. 

This will achieve a sparling streak free finish.
