If you under-dose, then you will end up with unhygienic and inefficient results.  The area’s you’ve cleaned won’t be clean or hygienic and bacteria/viruses/fungi present before cleaning won’t have been completely eradicated. 

Over-dosing may not seem like a problem initially.  However, it will soon have an impact on your budgets!! The excess chemical in the solution will also remain on the surface you are cleaning, creating a sticky residue that is unpleasant to touch.  Dust and other particles will adhere to the sticky residue meaning that the surface is dirty very quickly after the cleaning process. 

Here at PK Safety, we have several solutions to help you ensure the right dose is used throughout your cleaning program and systems. 

By far our favourite is the Dose-It range from Clover Chemicals. 

Dose-It makes it easy to get chemical doses right every single time and using them does not require investment in dosing machines and systems. 

The range covers most of your cleaning requirements throughout any facility.  It includes:  

C1 Interior 

Designed as a daily cleaner that is effective on a range of different surfaces (glass, metals and laminates).  It is low residue and fragranced. 

C2 Floor 

A pH neutral cleaner that is safe on all washable surfaces.  It is low residue and leaves no streaks.   

C3 Washroom 

Cleans and deodorises all washrooms surfaces.  Leaves a fresh fragrance and has mild descaling properties. 

D1 Degreaser 

A heavy duty non-fragranced cleaning choice for areas that need strong degreasing action. 

S1 Sanitiser 

A sanitiser that is non-fragranced and food area safe.  pH neutral and certified to BS EN 1276. 

To use the dose-it products you simply follow these steps 

PRIME the 20ml dose control cap with the cleaning chemical. Do this by inverting the bottle and waiting till no further air escapes from the cap. 

DOSE the chemical into your 5-litre bucket or 600ml bottle. Open the flip top and pour the contents of the cap into your bottle or bucket. 

REFILL the dosing cap for the next use. Close the cap and refill it again for your next use. 

When using a 600 ml bottle you simply need 1 cap of chemical, for a 5-litre bucket 2 caps is needed. 

It really is that simple!
